March, Meals, Mindfulness and our Monthly Challenge

March is National Nutrition Month. As a personal trainer and human being, nutrition plays an extremely important role in my personal and professional life. But OMG there is a lot of information out there and it can be complex, confusing and contradictory. And I don't know about you, but I feel like there are 1000s of individuals out there trying to sell me the secrets of what I need to eat as an over-45-year-old woman. I need to fast, I need to eat every hour. I need to go Keto, Mediterranean, Paleo, plant-based or Adkins. I need to only eat this or never eat that. IT'S A LOT!

Personally, I need practicality. I need balance and moderation. I need flexibility. I want to eat what makes my body feel good. I want to eat in a way that keeps me healthy and fuels my goals. So after my 47+ years of real-life eating, 25+ years of worrying about what I eat, 1+ year of research and focused practice, I became a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach.

I want to help you navigate the nutrition world in a pragmatic way. Practicality is just how I roll in life.

If a practical approach sounds good, I encourage you to join the LIFT - Life Integrated Fitness Training group on Facebook. It is a free fitness, wellness and nutrition group for women. Our monthly challenges are about taking small steps daily to improve our health and create a habit of fitness.

March's Challenge is a "Month of Mindful Eating". Each week we'll be focusing on one (1) key area of nutrition and working a 4-step process: Take Note - Gap Analysis - Add, Change, Delete - Take Action. I will share nutrition information, we'll share recipes and make a weekly meal plan focused on what we WANT to eat. There are templates and worksheets to facilitate each step.

I so hope you'll join us. If you're rather work one on one, let's! Put some time on my calendar to connect about your personal goals and challenges.

Have a great week!

Jenn
